Welcome to my brand new blog, Swag Never Sleeps. With this blog I hope to share my observations and thoughts on what it means to be a black gentleman in modern society. Even though my blog is generally geared towards the Black male experience, I hope that all men and even many women will read and be enriched by my posts. As far as “swag never sleeps”, it comes from the notion that “swag” or more commonly, “swagger”, isn’t what a man does, it is what he is. Swagger doesn’t complete him, it complements him. How you dress, speak, eat, walk, and interact with other is the element that separates from getting in to that nightclub with the $50 cover, that attractive but out-of-your-league girl (or guy! We don’t discriminate here!), or into that Armani-suit wearing CEO’s inner circle. With a little bit of grooming and a lot of determination, people will be calling you “Your Flyness” in no time.
